Posted in Catch Reports on 25th October 2012Young up-and-coming carper angler Ben Thompson is having a terrific year since switching over to our B5 freezer boilies. Ben recently blitzed Linear St Johns with a 44-fish haul on the B5 (see catch report below) to win our 'Top Catch' competition and has recently carried on where he left off by banking this lovely 39lb 6oz common on just his second visit to a tricky estate lake!
Big commons must have a certain attraction to Ben because he smashed the St Johns common record with a 43lb 15oz monster before catching this near forty specimen! But then again, the B5 has such an impressive 'Big Fish' record it's almost inevitable that the whackers will fall sooner or later - in Ben's case it seems to be the sooner! Top B5 bombing again Ben.
Something for the weekend sir!
I'm sure most of us would like to think that we're a little more organised than to get caught out with no bait for the weekend, but in truth we've probably all made the mistake of running out of bait at one time or another! Many customers have contacted us over the years to tell us how convenient these weekend session packs are and how they've 'saved' their trip when they've run out of bait.
They really are perfect for a one off weekend session or to keep in the boot of your car or even your garage. We've even had customers that have taken them abroad on their family holidays with a rod and reel chucked in for good measure just in case they stumble across a hidden gem! Perfect for a weekend session or as a 'back up' on those red letter sessions!
