Catching a carp from the notoriously difficult Yateley Car Park Lake can be difficult enough when the conditions are 'spot on', but in bitterly cold conditions in the middle of January it has to be classed as an exceptional result! But this is exactly what Marcus Howarth recently done on a recent visit to the famous venue.
The cold water common weighed in at 29lb 14oz and fell victim to our legendary Shellfish B5 boilies winterised for coldwater use. We're not too sure how many anglers appreciate how important it is to use baits that have been modified for cold water use in the winter, but those who do certainly seem to benefit from doing so!
