One of the first fifties of 2011 has just fallen victim to the rods of Norfolk based angler Ian Dowe after just 16 hours of using the B5 for the very first time! Ian and his mates received their first batch of B5 last Thursday. Keen to use their new bait for the very first time on a lake that had only produced a handful of fish since last November, one of the group member, Gary Betts, arrived at the tough venue, which had only produced a handful of fish all winter and within just 4-hours banked a stunning 27lb mirror!

Ian Dowe then arrived at the venue on the Sunday afternoon keen to capitalize on their instant success and positioned his baited rig to a small gravel patch surrounded by weed adjacent to a gulley and introduced 100 B5 free offerings, not knowing what  was waiting around the corner!

At 8am the following morning Ian found himself doing battle with a very big fish and eventually slipped his waiting net under a massive mirror, which pulled the scales around to 51lb exactly! A February fifty – wow!!!!! Top B5 bombing that man and congratulations from everyone here at Essential.
